11. I don’t speak English well. Can I still study at your school?
Yes, you can. We have all levels of ESL tutoring services. You will be given an assessment test before you start in order for us to provide you with appropriate level of instruction. If necessary, we will assign a bilingual tutor to you, who speaks your mother tongue to assist you understand English instruction better.

12. How many levels of ESL do you have? What is the lowest level and what is the highest?
We have three levels of ESL. They are: ESL Beginner, ESL Intermediate, and ESL Advanced. The ESL Beginner level is the basic level. It is for students who have studied English only very little. The ESL-Intermediate level is for those who understand English but need to improve their spoken and written English. The ESL Advanced level for students who can speak and write well, but need more proficiency. The entrance and exit tests will assess your level of English, and we will advice you on your progress and further tutoring appropriate to your progress.

13. What will I study in ESL classes?
For secondary education and college students, we offer tutoring in ESL and English for spoken and writing. For professionals, we offer a curriculum outlined based on individual needs.

14. How many ESL classes will I take?
You may begin with Ten-Hour-Tutor Plan after taking a Two-Hour Trial Lesson to familiarize yourself with our methods of tutoring.

15. What are online ESL classes like? The online tutoring classes are designed for private tutoring and you are the only student with your tutor. In small group tutoring, three-to-six students make up the online class. In private, the teacher devotes all his or her time to one person, to you. In group tutoring, the teacher devotes the class time among three to six students. Both type of classes has their advantages. In private tutoring, your tutor and you interact more one one-to-one, making you aware of your strengths and weaknesses first hand and immediately, and making you speak more.

16. What kind of homework will I have? Your tutor will assign you a homework in the lesson your tutor will email you. If you are enrolled in a standard-based exam course, such as TOEFL or Regents, you will be assigned homework from the standard curriculum of your school continuously throughout your study with us. If you are taking ESL-English classes only, the homework includes grammar and vocabulary review with pronunciation drills, sentence construction exercise and writing, and reading; studying for exams; reviewing podcast and video lessons. Sometimes you will prepare an oral presentation to give in class.

17. What if I am in a class without support for bilingual instruction, and I have trouble understanding the teacher?
After each lesson, you will be asked if you are satisfied with the lesson. If you are not fully satisfied with the lesson, you will fill out a form by simply checking out statements on why your are dissatisfied. Then, we will look into the matter, and you will be given another tutor.

18. How long do I have to take ESL?
You will be tested at the beginning before you start your Tutor Plan. At the end after you complete the tutor plan, you will be given an "exit" test. Depending upon your score on the exit test, you will be advised by your tutor on your improvement and learning needs accordingly. And then, it is up to you whether to continue to take more tutor hours to further improve your English.

19. Will I get a good TOEFL score when I am ready to apply to college?
Yes, if you are a serious student who does well in your class, you will be very well prepared to take the TOEFL test. We currently teach for the TOEFL test. In this course, students learn grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, and essay-writing skills, and speaking skills for the TOEFL test.
