get it over: idiomatic verb

1. get over: to finish

I worked hard to get over my homework. (I worked hard to finish my homework.)

2. get over:: to pass over:

It was hard to get over the muddy road. (It was hard to travel over the muddy road.)

3. get it over: to get well from; recover from. My brother returned to work after he got over the appendix surgery. (He returned to work after he recovered from the appendix surgery.)

4. get over: to accept surprise, sorrow. I cannot get over my mother's death. (I still feel sad over my mother's death.)
