dance to another tune: idiom verb. to talk or act differently and in a better way to improve a situation

Examples:

"My boy friend refused to take me out to dinner last weekend, but after I said I'm not going to see you this weekend then, he danced to another tune. He took me out to dinner."

"Let's dance to another tune. This way is not helping us to improve our customers service."
